Will it work on my phone?
On iPhone: Settings → General → About, and scroll to EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onwards does.
On Android: Settings → About phone → Status, and look for EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Most Galaxy S20, Pixel 3 and later do.
It also has to be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it outright or your contract is over, it almost certainly is.

The Swiss border trap
Vaduz, Schaan and most of the valley sit right on the Rhine, with Switzerland on the other bank. Swiss masts often reach into Liechtenstein, and your phone may pick the stronger one. Switzerland is outside the EU and EEA roaming rules, so on an EU plan that connection can be billed as expensive roaming.
Two ways to avoid it: choose a Liechtenstein network by hand in your mobile network settings, or use a data eSIM that covers the countries you will actually be in.
