Will it work on my phone?
On iPhone: Settings → General → About, and scroll to EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onwards does.
On Android: Settings → About phone → Status, and look for EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Most Galaxy S20, Pixel 3 and later do.
It also has to be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it outright or your contract is over, it almost certainly is.

The Faroe Islands and Greenland are not covered

Both belong to Denmark, and neither is in the European Union. The EU roaming rule stops there, so your operator charges whatever its tariff says — often a lot. People get caught because the flight is domestic and nothing warns them. If your trip includes either, check the price before you land, and turn data roaming off until you do.
Which eSIM works in Denmark?
A Denmark eSIM runs on the local networks, TDC (5G), 3 (5G). Data only: your number stays on your usual SIM. Note that a Denmark plan does not cover the Faroes or Greenland.
Coverage: Copenhagen, Jutland and the bridges
Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense have strong coverage with 5G, and so do the motorways and the bridges. Crossing the Øresund bridge to Malmö changes country but not the rule, since Sweden is in the EU too — though your phone may switch network mid-bridge. On the small islands and parts of the west coast it thins out.

No. The Faroes belong to Denmark but are outside the EU, so the roaming rule does not apply and your operator sets the price.
Does EU roaming cover Greenland?
No, for the same reason: Greenland is Danish but outside the EU.
What happens on the bridge to Sweden?
Nothing on the bill: both countries are in the EU. Your phone may change network partway across, which is normal.
Do I need ID for a data eSIM?
