Will it work on my phone?
On iPhone: Settings → General → About, and scroll to EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onwards does.
On Android: Settings → About phone → Status, and look for EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Most Galaxy S20, Pixel 3 and later do.
It also has to be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it outright or your contract is over, it almost certainly is.

Do I need it if I am coming from Spain or Italy?
Usually not: EU roaming covers Greece at no extra cost. It pays off if your plan has a small allowance, or if the trip runs for several weeks.
Does it work on the islands or only on the mainland?
The pack covers Greek territory, islands included, on the same two networks. What is not up to us is the crossing itself: out in the Aegean the signal comes and goes with whichever mast on land still reaches you, and a Greek SIM card has exactly the same problem.
