Will it work on my phone?
On iPhone: Settings → General → About, and scroll to EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onwards does.
On Android: Settings → About phone → Status, and look for EID. If there is an EID, your phone takes eSIMs. Most Galaxy S20, Pixel 3 and later do.
It also has to be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it outright or your contract is over, it almost certainly is.

The networks you connect to in Malta
- Vodafone 5G
- GO 5G
Your phone picks whichever of these has the best signal where you are, and switches on its own. Nothing to configure.
Malta is in the European Union, so if you are travelling from another European country your own plan already covers data. This eSIM is for visitors arriving from outside the EU. There are two networks, Vodafone and GO, both on 5G, over a territory you can drive across in an hour: it is one of the destinations where you will have the fewest coverage problems.
One pack, 33 countries
The packs above only work in Malta. For about 2 € more these work across all of Europe — same eSIM, nothing to change at the border.
Travelling to Malta, answered
Do I need an eSIM if I am coming from another EU country?
Probably not. Malta is in the European Union and EU roaming covers your data. It is worth it if you are arriving from outside the EU or your plan has a small allowance.
Which networks do I connect to in Malta?
Vodafone and GO, both on 5G. Your phone picks whichever has the better signal and switches on its own.
Does it cover Gozo and Comino?
Yes, same country and same networks. On the inter-island ferry the signal may dip for a moment, because the masts are on land, but it is a short crossing.
How many GB do I need for a week in Malta?
With maps, messaging and some social media, around 300 MB a day, so the 3 GB pack covers the week comfortably. If you watch video in the evenings, take the 10 GB one.

Snoozim is run from Barcelona by Ibai Guirado Vera. It exists because paying for roaming by the day on a short trip made no sense. If something goes wrong with your eSIM you write, and the same person who built this answers you, within 24 hours.
